Hello, I'm a recent graduate changing careers due to a disability. I have recently received an Associate’s Degree in Medical Billing and Coding, with a Consideration of HIT/EHR while continuing my education. Starting Jan.8th 2012, I start working on my BSBA- with a consideration of Healthcare Management. I would like to get into an Entry level position as a Coding Spec. in a hospital ER, or similar facility. But if not, I would consider an internship or an entry level position in records for a highly motivated, ethical person with a lot to offer. I take my schooling, any position I happen to hold, along with the facility I would work for very serious, and place priority on them as well as regulations and standards. I’m looking to gain valuable work experience ether through an internship position, or being given a coder’s position, while I’m currently studying for my AHIMA CCS exam. I believe I have a lot to offer any facility that would give a recent graduate a start, while adding to their Health Information Services excellent reputation in professionalism with patient’s healthcare, privacy, and safety as well as the billing, and coding services they provide. If given a chance to show what I have learned while in school I’m sure you will like the way I can add to the companies productivity, and improve the quality of work coming out of the department I happen to be assigned too.
