I have worked within the retailing industry for the past 7 years across a variety of levels and roles. Shortly after starting my initial part time role of general assistant in 2015 i soon realised i wanted to develop within the company and sought after progression opportunities. After 6 months i moved to a full time position within a skilled role working in mobile phone sales. Whilst completing this role i was recognised for a gold service award and attended an event where i was able to network with people from all areas of the business. Following attending this meeting i was offered a manager postion working as a security team manager across a number of sites.After completing the role for 2 years i moved to a business support role which oversaw 4 key areas of the business, Shrink (loss prevention), Security, Safety and service. Whilst completing this role i have been able to broaden my own personal development and im now currently working on becoming a store manager.My Current role in business support has allowed me to progress a number of skills including:- Coaching- Communication- Leadership- Data analysisThese key skill have given me great success in reaching a wide population across the business. As i currently support a number of site with varying numbers of colleagues reaching from 40 colleagues in a site to 500+ colleagues. One of the main skills that has allowed me to drive this is adaptating to my audience as i to able to engage a range of different work levels in order to get the best end result. These level vary from WL1 to WL4. After having a large amount of success in this role i am now looking to further develop myself by taking on a new challenge.
