In 1998, Jack began his construction career working for the largest residential construction company in Tallahassee, Florida, designing all new single family homes. After three years and nearly a thousand homes later, he switched his career to building material sales for two years becoming one of the top local salesman and the 30th in the nation. His career led him to build homes with a smaller company producing 60-70 homes per year for the next four years. During that time, he designed, estimated, and handled customer relations. In 2007, he felt that it was time to experience a new avenue of construction. He moved to land development and underground utilities as a project manager and estimator for multi-million dollar projects throughout Tallahassee and the surrounding cities. As opportunity knocked he was offered the chance to follow his passion for residential construction. He returned to the largest residential construction company in Tallahassee, as their estimator, purchaser and design consultant. In 2015 he was approached to join a small construction team, to help create a one stop construction company from Residential, Commercial to Damage Restoration which he happily accepted. After two years and many projects, 2017 created an opportunity to start his own family owned and operated business. Together, Jack and Melissa have over 35 years of construction experience and are putting it to work their clients with Fine Line Design & Inspections.
