Was a part of the Minerals Processing team at the GHD Perth Office.Worked on a variety of different projects where I learnt extensively about minerals processing, these included: ArcelorMittal Liberia Iron Ore Concentrator project. Nyrstar Refinery GeGa Recovery Concept Study. MacArthur Lake Giles Iron Project. KCGM Infrastructure Study. Trained on the sysCAD Plant Simulation software, using it to model the Liberia Concentrator. Used Visio regularly on projects. Learnt how to effectively communicate with clients. Attended workshops on business development and commercial principles.

Worked as a part of the Process Control and Improvement team at the Kalgoorlie Nickel Smelter, where I learnt many practical engineering skills. Completed a project on improving the modelling of iron content in converter matte, which could be used to improve the reliability of converter operation and final nickel product. Presented project findings to upper management. Gained valuable insight into general site operations, as well as specific smelter and auxiliary plant operation. Learned and applied many key safety protocols of the site such as completing field leaderships and THA sign offs. Took part in shutdown operations, working with the standardised work team to improve contractor utilisation. Completed confined space work training.
