I am a hardworking individual who has obtained a Bachelors Degree in Psychology - Child Life from Utica University and a Masters Degree in Social Work from Utica University with aspirations to be licensed in clinical settings. I also am interested in pursuing a Play Therapy Certification after completion of my LMSW certification. During my time obtaining my Masters Degree I have worked as a Graduate Assistant in the Psychology - Child Life Department. Here I have worked in many different facets of the department, some of my duties include; facilitating course materials and curriculum to the students of Utica University, Maintaining contracts and connections to the community and fieldwork agencies, Advising students during their last 2 semesters of courses and education, Supporting experiential learning opportunities for all students, Presenting program opportunities and information to prospective students and their families, Operating university vehicles for safe student transportation to fieldtrips and other events, Create department newsletters and other crucial information documents. During my time here I also have developed a Play Therapy Activity that helps teach children to cope with loss in their life and express their feelings and emotions through art. This activity is taught to students in the Death, Dying, and Bereavement course at Utica University. I enjoy my summers by traveling and taking in different perspectives and cultures while running a summer camp that is quietly nestled in the Hudson Valley, Camp Callabar. Here I get the opportunity to work with children ages 5- 13 and a staff of hardworking counselors. I am a firm believer on being “where your feet are”, and if you were to hire me for your open position you would not be disappointed. Working with children is my passion and I feel as if I have not even scratched the surface in terms of the impacts I want to have on their lives. If you love what you do you will never work a day in your life, and I am certainly looking forward to the opportunity to showing you this about myself.
