I am a driven and passionate student eager to make an impact at a high level in the sporting world. I am a naturally curious person with tremendous attention to detail, looking for all the one-percenters to edge closer to success. My obsession with sport began at a young age. Being from a small country town in Western Victoria, it was inevitable that I got into Aussie rules. While AFL was my first love, I have also been a competitive swimmer for 13 years, and this is where my obsession with optimisation began. I found implementing subtle changes that resulted in as little as 0.01 second differences addicting and I couldn’t get enough. I realised I had a knack for identifying and rectifying even the smallest of areas for improvement, which can be the difference between winning and losing. I am currently in my final year of a bachelor’s degree of sport and exercise science at La Trobe University, Melbourne, Australia. I have an abundance of practical experience in the field of sport and exercise science, namely with the Carlton Football Club as a sport science intern with the men’s AFL team. Here I have been able to display my ability to impact meaningfully at the highest level. Upon completing my bachelor’s degree, I plan to complete a master's degree to further increase my potential to make a difference at the highest level. My specialties include human anatomy, data science for sport, skill acquisition, and biomechanics.
