I am an award-winning journalist currently working as an assistant editor at renowned magazine Inside Housing. My role means I am in charge of the magazine’s daily news output and analysis, as well as having oversight of the team’s investigations. I manage a team of three reporters and work closely with features and design teams to ensure excellent and insightful pieces for our readership.In addition to my editing roles, I have continued to report and produce agenda setting scoops and investigations. My investigations have included deep-dives into the EWS Crisis that has caused paralysis in the flatsale market, the exempt accommodation scandal, as well as pieces exposing widespread forgeries on crucial fire safety forms and issues around the Help to Buy scheme.I have been at the forefront of reporting on the plight of leaseholders caught up in the country's post-Grenfell cladding scandal and a major part of Inside Housing's End Our Cladding Scandal campaign, which has lobbied the government to provide funds to fix unsafe buildings and protect residents from the costs. This was recognised at the British Society of Magazine Editors Awards where we picked up the Campaign of the Year award.My investigations and reporting have led to me picking up the International Building Press Award for 'News Reporter of the Year' an unprecedented three years in a row (2019, 2020 and 2021), as well as the 'Scoop of the Year' in 2020 and 'Journalist of the Year' award in 2020. This year I was shortlisted for 'News Journalist of the Year' and 'Best B2B Journalist' at the 2022 British Society of Magazine Editors (BSME) New Talent Awards and Writer of the Year at the PPA Awards 2022.This follows on from being shortlisted 'Business Journalist of the Year' and 'Scoop of the Year' two years' running at the 2019 and 2020 BSMEs, and alongside national newspaper journalists for the 2021 'Scoop of the Year' award at the Property Press Awards.

Was promoted to news editor at Inside Housing after just four months. My role involved managing a team of three reporters and ensuring top class news content and analysis for the website and magazine. My time as a news editor also coincided with the outbreak of Covid-19 and overcame the challenge of keeping my team motivated while working remotely, and maintaining insightful content for our readers.Alongside my editing duties, I continued to report and picked up a number of accolades (listed above) for my news reporting and investigations work, digging into housing issues such as the building safety crisis and how Europe's housing sector's responded to the Covid-19 crisis.

I was Deputy News Editor at award-winning trade magazine Inside Housing, before being promoted after four months.My role involved working as a senior reporter and deputising for the news editor when away.Areas of focus include housing and housing policy in London and the South East, as well as housing development and shared ownership. Other interests include the fall-out from the Grenfell Tower Fire Tragedy, and the ongoing scandal regarding dangerous cladding on private blocks.I also contribute to Inside Housing's weekly podcast, The Housing Podcast.

I was Infrastructure Reporter for Construction News, the country's leading construction magazine and website.
