I'm responsible for managing projects to enhance inventory performance and optimization and contribute towards successes of Inventory management function within the EMEA & APAC regions.The role engages very closely with internal and external stakeholders, whilst maintaining continuous communication with the Planning and Procurement teams.Completed over $12M in Inventory Optimization over the last 3 quarters, with developing new or making fundamental changes to existing in; Stock Rotations & Exceptional RTV’s - fulfilling contractual obligements on returning inventory back to vendor, and negotiating alongside Category Management exceptional returns. I look after over 30 stock rotations across EMEA & APAC with a value of up to 5M a quarter, all with very complex criteria. Global Redeployment; I built a robust PowerBi with Excel spreadsheet formula to make suggestions on excess or slow moving inventory into locations where demand is high and consistent to improve turns and reduce days of inventory we hold on our shelves. We began to look at inventory within the EMEA region, but with quick success this was rolled out globally. Shorts Cable Reels, Copper Optimization & Scrap – we’ve developed a new process which will limit the amount of short lengths inventory which are being wasted & scrapped. Analyzing existing sales data alongside building a proactive logic to prevent the opportunity to cut / sell last than a certain value to maximize cable on a drum. We’ve also built a copper reclamation dashboard which shows based on the current LME what value of our stock holding we could reclaim copper on. This is an excellent tool to have with regards to scrapping at good times, maximizing buy / sell prices and having good control on reserves and inventory protection. Dashboards and Reporting Tools – I’ve transitioned many old time consuming spreadsheet into automated Power Bi’s to give global leaders and high-level management updated visibility of top-level projects globally. It uniforms the data globally to show turns, DIO / and other metrics which are key for inventory reduction and maintained services levels. Alongside customer specific dashboards, I’ve also built dashboards which show potential exposure with EOL materials, and our position on pre-stocking inventory.
