Dr. Jack So had been appointed as Recruitment Representative of New England Institute of Technology for the Greater China Region since December 2016 (www.neit.edu). He finished his nine year service in Hong Kong R&D Centre for Logistics and Supply Chain Management Enabling Technologies (LSCM R&D Centre) and left in November 2017. The Centre was founded in 2006 with funding from the Innovation and Technology Commission of the HKSAR Government to foster the development of core competencies in logistics and supply chain related technologies, such as Radio Frequency Identification (RFID), and to facilitate the adoption of these technologies by industries in Hong Kong and Mainland China. Jack had worked in the Centre for nine years and was responsible for R&D results commercialization. Before that, Jack was responsible for promotion of R&D Centre services to local and Mainland manufacturers, solution integrators and logistics providers; develop R&D proposals for Centre and assist local Universities to develop proposals and conduct fund raising and acquire sponsorship for R&D projects. Before working in LSCM R&D Centre, Jack was with Hong Kong Productivity Council (HKPC) which is a 40 year old public organization. Prior to HKPC, Jack was employed by Korean Cho Yang Shipping Company and earlier by German paints manufacturer Herberts GmbH. Due to job nature, Jack maintained good relationship with various government departments in Hong Kong and various trade associations related to logistics and electronics industry. Jack graduated from Dunwoody Industrial Institute of Minnesota with a diploma in Auto Body Repair and Painting; with a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial and Vocational Education from University of Minnesota; and a Master of Business Administration degree from Southern Illinois University at Carbondale. Jack also received PhD in Business Administration degree from Bulacan State University in 2016.
