Role Summary:A merchandise team member at Costco Perth Airport is required to be self-motivated and driven, have effective communication skills, practice the policies and procedures implemented by Costco and being able to work under time constraints. Working within Costco has provided me opportunities to undertake tasks such as leading a team within my own department, travelling and conducting inventory for the company at their depot centre, improved my communication skills due to the demand of a high paced environment, further enhanced my abilities to train and develop new employees, work in a sales orientated environment as well as experience full time employment and the challenges that come with that. Key Achievements I was employed as a part-time merchandise team member and was promoted to full-time after my 3-month probation period. I have been a relief supervisor and managed teams within my department when my managers and supervisors have not been present. I was apart of a team that broke the daily and monthly sales record for the fresh department across all Costco’s within Australia. I was trained and signed off for the use of Crown PE 4500 Electric Pallet Jack.

Role SummaryI was given a work experience opportunity to work in the HR department at Fortescue Metal Group’s Cloudbreak minesite. The role developed my basic human resource administration skills, reporting and creating presentations, attending and conducting department meetings, Microsoft office skills, SAP and other workplace information system understanding, ability to conduct certain disciplinary matters. The role also allowed me to experience a mine-site and working a FIFO schedule. Key Achievements Assisted with the transition from 8 days on – 6 days schedule to a 2 week on 1 week off for the workforce at Cloudbreak. Conducted a department meeting a presented a presentation. Produced viable disciplinary letter templates.
