As a dual qualified Learning Disability Nurse and Specialist Community Public Health Practitioner (Health Visitor), I have excellent communication and clinical skills working within the Children's Universal Service in the NHS. I am highly motivated and passionate about safeguarding children and young people, especially those who are vulnerable or at risk.In my current roles as a Designated Nurse Safeguarding Children at NHS North East London, and a Designated Nurse Children Looked After at North East London Clinical Commissioning Group, I provide specialist safeguarding advice and support to medical staff and partner agencies across two of the busiest national A&E departments. I also oversee the quality and effectiveness of health services for children in care, and ensure that their health needs are met and monitored. I have successfully led and contributed to multiple safeguarding audits, reviews, and improvement plans, enhancing the safety and wellbeing of children and young people in the region.I am interested in applying my children safeguarding knowledge and experience into a humanitarian environment, and open to new opportunities outside of the NHS. I have a strong commitment to continuous learning and professional development, and I am always eager to expand my skills and competencies.
