I have long excelled in academic environments and remain enthusiastic about pursuing a career with a legal firm, considering this the ideal setting to further develop my current skillset. My ability to analyze and review extensive data creatively positions me well for legal work and other tasks requiring a strong work ethic. During my time at the Govan Hill Law Centre, I examined domestic law, settled judicial decisions, and engaged with current debates in numerous case files. This experience showcased my strong analytical thinking and an ability to contextualise discoveries within societal legal culture among practicing solicitors.I value teamwork and have consistently proven to be a valuable asset in every work environment, both as a volunteer and employee. Whether in leadership roles or as a team member, I strive to assist colleagues, as evidenced by my experiences at Dakota and Boost Staffing. This independent work ethic is equally strong, as shown in my role at CML, where I managed assignments independently and ensured tenant company portfolios received appropriate care.Concerning legal studies commercial law has always captivated me due to its dual nature and has been my strongest area of practice. The goal is to apply my academic knowledge practically to produce business results. Aspiring to become a commercial solicitor, I aim to implement real solutions and create tangible outcomes for business clients while fulfilling my academic interests and passion for the law. I am open to opportunities in other fields, having gained experience in hospitality, sales, and marketing.As twice elected treasurer of GUGS and co-founder of GUNS, I organised large-scale campus events to attract new students at the beginning of the semester. My passion for cooperation and teamwork led me to organize the team's work schedule and assign responsibilities based on individual talents, expertise and budgets in my capacity as treasurer. While I can work independently, productivity is heightened when collaborating with others who share skills to achieve significant tasks. Beyond professional responsibilities, I served as Junior Scout leader for the 2nd Coatbridge Scout Group, where I earned the Chief Scout Gold Award, the highest a scout can achieve, and led our Beaver section, which included my sister. I deeply value family, which led to increased responsibilities during the COVID-19 pandemic. We faced many challenges, and the pandemic compounded my responsibilities and enhanced my skills as a young carer and essential worker.I look forward to working with you.
