New Mexico Land Conservancy (NMLC) is a statewide, non-profit land trust whose mission is to help people conserve the places they love. NMLC works with private landowners, community groups, public agencies and private organizations to protect and conserve high conservation value lands throughout New Mexico and southeast Arizona at community, watershed and landscape scalesSpecific Duties:• Created, translated, and integrated GIS data layers and digitized new data using a variety of software• Managed field collected GPS files and built maps for existing easements and new acquisitions• Organized and conducted monitoring visits to all easements (~160,000 acres) to ensure conservation values were being met• Met with interested landowners to educate them on the benefits of conservation easements • Collected data and wrote reports to define state of development and current ecological communities on easements

• Prepared samples for Middlebury faculty, external contracts, and personal projects• Dated over 150 sediment samples using Optically Stimulated Luminescence technique• Managed and modified MATLAB and Excel scripts, processed data load requests, reconciled data conflicts, and created data reports• Made complex interpretations regarding paleo-climate, sedimentation rates, and water retention• Used results to write ~100 page independent, research thesis
