Experience includes successful execution of large scale chemical projects, process and project development, technology evaluations, feasibility studies, plant location siting studies, commissioning/startup management, technology and engineering management and technology licensing. Extensive International experience includes assignments in China for four (4) years, South Korea for four (4) years and Indonesia for two (2) years.Most of career was spent with Eastman Chemical Company in Kingsport, TN as Process Engineer, Project Engineer, Project Engineering Manager, Engineering Manager, Commissioning Manager, Production Supervisor, Technology Manager and Licensing Manager. Took early retirement from Eastman Chemical Company in 2007. Retired from Fluor Corporation in May 2015 after eight (8) years’ experience as Process Technology Director. Work included development of Scope of Facilities, Plot Plan, HMB’s, Block Flow Diagrams, Process Flow Diagrams, Equipment Lists and Class V preliminary TIC estimate. A Value Engineering Study was also conducted to eliminate or modify items in the project scope that offer limited CAPEX and OPEX value to the project. The value engineering study and workshops used a systematic approach to analyze the project scope and design to identify cost saving opportunities that increase project value without sacrificing safety, schedule or quality. The preliminary BFD's, PFD's, equipment list, plot plan and Class V estimate were revised using the Value Engineering items indicated for implementation resulting in an reduction in TIC of 12%.

HAZOP analyses were completed to insure process safety. Special considerations were given for appropriate selection and procurement of special alloys for critical equipment and materials. Reviews of the PDS models were done and included members from engineering, construction and operations.
