I'm reluctant to have a Linkedin profile and I know the reason why, because we have become so disconnected with the world in which we live within that we create our own virtual worlds that are nothing more than various combinations of binary code. When I was looking for the Linkedin industry that describes my career, there was nothing for naturalist, environmental educator, environmental philosopher or any of these crucial industries on THEIR list. This just confirms how disconnected we are from our one home - Planet Earth. Ok, so why did I begin my Linkedin summary with all of that? Simple, because I exist to help my species reconnect with the ecosphere (nature) in which we are a small member of on this planet. I am and always have been a naturalist - someone who loves and learns from nature. Through this career and my ecological self identity of being a naturalist I've become an effective educator of the crucial components of the inner-workings of life on this planet. I'm not actually a job-seeker, yet due to Linkedin's cluelessness (and this is only because modern society is so clueless and disconnected from REALITY) this is the category I had to list myself under. I live my life as close as I can to the ecosphere of this planet. I know this planet will dramatically change this century, but hopefully not in a way that will cause humans to go extinct. Although this is the most likely result for us. Because of the drastic changes that have already started, my role as a naturalist is to educate and help my species survive. I've always been an oddball. I've never won any popularity contest nor do I pursue such nonsense. In a way I know that my disconnection from my own species and modern society has granted me the time and unbelievably fortunate opportunity to expand my ecological self and in doing so I can help people reconnect with the ecosphere and by doing that we might just have a chance of surviving beyond this century in a sustainable way.
