My work involves coordinating AI policy efforts across the DOE, with a focus on safe, secure, and trustworthy development of AI, as well as exploring its potential to accelerate clean energy initiatives and streamline permitting processes.I’m passionate about shaping AI policy that addresses both immediate challenges and long-term impacts, particularly in the context of responsible scaling and energy systems integration. With a background in philosophy, economics, and education, I approach policy design from a systems-thinking perspective, ensuring that technological advancements align with societal goals.Previously, I advised on AI strategy through my fellowship at the Federation of American Scientists, where I led an AI legislation initiative, coordinated with FAS’s network of subject matter experts to solicit actionable AI policy ideas, and provided feedback to government stakeholders. My goal is to continue pushing the frontier of AI policy in ways that promote innovation, security, and equitable growth.
