Leading one of the largest university clubs in New Zealand with just over 1000 members. Having the privilege to represent engineering students in the University student council.

My current position at NZOT covers the maintenance and operation of REMUS 100 and 300 AUV systems, as well as ROV and Diver Delivery systems. My role requires me to cater to the needs of defense suppliers and the RNZN.

This was my first internship in my engineering career. Initially in the role I was in the assembly team. However as the project moved along I spent a lot of time working on site. My roles here included installation, Electrical wiring and plumbing. At the end of my internship I did commissioning which required me to configure the PLCs and bring the machine to working order, debugging along the way and fixing any mechanical issues.

Here I was lucky enough to help out the Hydraulics team as an intern for the race event in Sydney. I learnt many valuable practical skills in my dream field of work
