About Jack T.

I am a Historic Preservation Specialist for FEMA in the Environmental Planning and Historic Preservation (EHP) Cadre in the Direct Charge CORE (DCC). My primary responsibility is to make sure that all the work that was being done by FEMA and its contractors are in compliance with environmental and historic laws, executive orders, and regulations. I graduated from the University of North Carolina Wilmington. I earned my Master of Arts in Teaching (MAT) social studies at the secondary education level.I value building strong relationships with people and students. I have a strong desire for volunteering in community service projects as well. I worked in Puerto Rico for FEMA in the EHP Cadre to aid with the island's recovery from Hurricane Maria. I also registered and helped Hurricane Irma survivors for FEMA housing assistance. While working/serving with AmeriCorps, my responsibilities included recruiting high school and college students to apply for AmeriCorps service.I am a University of Connecticut graduate, with a B.A. in History and a minor in American Studies.
