I worked in a project for our client, Qatargas. My role was to evaluate and compare suppliers for the installation of 10 Chemical Dosing Packages in to the North and South side of an already existing facility in Doha for the treatment of water and for dust suppression. The suppliers had to offer 10 chemical dosing packages that were in line with our project specifications and mechanical data sheets. The process of awarding a supplier consisted of technical analysis of engineering documents, discussion of project deviations and clarifications with the supplier, creating large data matrices to compare suppliers and submitting technical bids to be evaluated by the client. Based on their evaluation we decided the final supplier. The supplier that performed best technically and was attractive commercially was chosen. Show less
