I gained experience in a wide range of contentious work, from pre-action to disclosure to court preparation to advocacy to the enforcement of judgements. Some of my activities involved: taking instructions and drafting documents including letters before action, claim forms, particulars of claim, witness statements and skeleton arguments; acting in data protection matters, particularly in dealings with the ICO; appearing before district judges at county court hearings for clients seeking charging orders and dealing with litigants-in-person; dealing with applications to suspend and set aside orders; and acting in LPA and fixed-charge receivership matters (involving both corporate and individual mortgagors) and providing advice at all stages of the process, from the appointment of receivers through to litigation (if necessary). I also project managed a marketing project which culminated in the launch of the firm's website and logo. I subsequently fulfilled an editorial role for the website, ensuring all content was of a high standard and promoting new content via social media.During my training contract, I worked on a variety of matters across a number of the firm's departments including Litigation, Corporate, Property (commercial and residential) and Employment.
