As the Promotions Manager at Canadian Tire at Store 90 in St. Catharines, ON, I deal mainly with the current and upcoming deals, impulse items and locations. Studying day to day consumer behaviour and making decisions daily based on such findings. Sales reports and product information throughout gathered over the sales period within the year gives us the ability to read and react. In addition to the daily tasks, I am responsible for numerous staff members and assuring the business is operating efficiently and up to our standards. We work constantly on improving our operations towards the satisfaction of the consumer as well as what is practical for the business. Day to day tasks must be checked on and reviewed to ensure we are following up on operations. I am also responsible for some logistics, as we have to review inventory numbers and plan for what is to come in, what we need to order, and what we will do with such. Finally, I also run the Social Media outlet for our store. Promoting our store and trying to generate reach across the valuable platforms of social media. This is a great tool we heavily rely on in today’s society so it is important to be in tune with how consumers operate on these platforms in order to reach the target audiences.
