I gained promotion as a technician to a trainee draughtsman in 2014 where i have taken my knowledge and experience from the shop floor into the design office. Now I have completed my hnc I have gained promotion to a detail draughtperson.I work with 2D and 3D computer software to design parts and assemblies for our vehicles which I then put onto drawings and parts lists.

I carried on my apprenticeship for a further 2 years into this job, where I studied extra courses (hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical wiring and testing) to suit my job role. I then qualified in 2013 as a Mechanical Technician.I helped built subsea ROV's , Trenchers and Tooling for the oil and gas industry working solo as well as part of a team. I started my working life at this company as an apprentice, we built small two seater aircrafts from composite materials. I was involved from design, tool making right through to the final product. My main responsibility was to work glass fibre/ carbon fibre into moulds which I then sealed, put under vacuum and baked. I was also involved with testing and repairing the planes after commission at a local airfield.
