Grateful for the opportunity to be named Manager for the Milgram Mustangs in the upcoming 2023 Summer. The Milgram Mustangs, we’re founded by Les Milgram in 1936 and are one of 12 teams in the Ban Johnson Collegiate League ( BJCL ). Thank you to Nancy Milgram / Owner and the Milgram family. Responsible for coordinating the daily, weekly, monthly and yearly offensive development of the Urban Youth Academy student athletes. Develop and implement programs that will be synonymous with the Royals Player Development Manual, that will in turn provide offensive development from the novice to elite student athlete for both baseball and softball. Responsible for creating, executing and measuring the success of offensive development of individuals, teams and leagues. Manage and communicate with program coaches to ensure program, team and individual success.

Coaching this years 2022 Commissioners Cup team for the KC Royals UYA, is a growth challenge. To select 15 players to represent the KC Royals organization during the 2022 MLB All Star Break out in Los Angeles, CA was and is on opportunity to showcase the Midwest amateur talent within the urban core. Competing at the Compton, CA. UYA ( Urban Youth Academy ) against other MLB / UYA teams was exciting to say at the least. Our KC 17U players conducted themselves remarkably well in an environment that tested many ! Having already hosted the Houston Astros / UYA, we now prepare to host the Texas Rangers / UYA , August 26th & 27th, in our final two game set in KCMO.To lead this team along with Coach Preston, is what you hope for in growing the game of baseball within the urban core of talented youth !

I had the incredible opportunity to help coach the 14U South Stripes team with Coach JB and Coach Ryan. To see the collection of young talent from primarily the South Texas Region and put them on the field of competition was a joy to be part of. To see how well Team USA / NTIS is organized and run on a daily basis was invaluable to any Coach /Baseball Operations personnel to see and be apart of. A special thanks to Andy R. as well for clearing the way to Cary !

Initial year of helping to install the Team KC program within the KC Royals UYA ( Urban Youth Academy ) program. As the head Coach of the 14U division, my assignment was to develop comprehensive practice plans, coordinate a high level team workout, develop team chemistry and individual skill sets as well as prepare players for a challenging competition level.The second year we transitioned under the KC Royals Scout Team format. In that role was the opportunity to scout players, set a national level tournament schedule for our roster, set travel plans, dates, hotel accommodations for our team, coaching personnel as well as for the families of each player. Within the framework of a calendar year we held tryouts, strength and speed development sessions, off-season workouts building up to competition, D1 level competition throughout the Spring / Summer Tournament season and field player request for SEC & ACC Coaches interested in our roster of 2025 players.

Assist with tournament set-up, evaluate players skill set during tournament competition, award players with performance based awards and team recognition trophies, assist as needed with tournament umpires with in game officiating issues.
