Supervise and lead a department of 30+ Substation Electricians and SCADA Specialists on a multitude of Capital Construction and O&M type operations in the Denver Metro Area. Responsible for the safe and timely completion of various different substation projects including Transmission and Distribution Transformer replacements, Trans and Dist Breaker repairs / installs, SCADA upgrades including RTU / LCU / HMI replacements, and Substation system troubleshooting.Also responsible for the Electrical Equipment Testing Department. I manage 10 Equipment Testers supporting all of Xcel Energy in Colorado by coordinating and providing non destructive testing on transformers, breakers (Transmission and Distribution), CCVT's, feeder cable, reclosers, and multiple other pieces of substation and distribution equipment.Our department is responsible for 100+ locations in the Denver Metro area. I am directly responsible to insure that my employees can complete their projects safely and on time, while responding to customer "lights out" situations.
