I'm currently working as a crime reporter for the Evening Standard whilst studying part-time for my PhD in criminology. My first book "Outsmarted", is due to be published next month. It's based on an account of my role in the Smart case. Everyone thought that Smart's wife was involved in the plot against him but it wasn't until I got involved that the true culprits were revealed and brought to justice.

I was responsible for writing news stories and features for the paper whilst working alongside the rest of the editorial team.

I was a member of the X Squadron, the combined unit of SBS and SAS operatives, where I specialised in Covert Ops. During my time with the Service I took part in high profile hostage rescues, worked with anti-organised crime units within the police and Customs and Excise, focusing particularly on drug trafficking and was involved in counter terrorism activities.

After my training at Commando Training Centre Royal Marines, where I learned how to understand the aptly for me named Jackspeak (navy lingo) speed eat and survive on no sleep, I joined the 1 Assault Group Royal Marines (1 AGRM) which is the lead for amphibious warfare and Royal Navy board and search training.
