I am a hardworking, organised and driven individual who has a genuine interest and enthusiasm in health and social care; motivated by the goal of implementing positive change and improving service delivery for people with mental health problems. I relish working in a varied and ever -changing environment, challenging perceptions, and influencing change in a positive manner. I have enjoyed the opportunity working alongside partners to deliver integrated and sustainable solutions to the financial and demographic challenges that are faced by the health and social care system in my current commissioning role. During my career I have worked at both strategic and operational levels (across health and social care) as part of a team whereby I actively encourage the contributions of others to facilitate the best outcome. I am equally comfortable working autonomously and have good experience of this from my time working operationally in the ambulance service which required a calm and concise approach under pressure.In my current role as specialist commissioning manager for all age mental health working on behalf of the CCG and local authority I have responsibility for the commissioning of both CAMHS and adult mental health services. I work closely with place based and system colleague to develop services in line with the NHS Long Term Plan. I have written successful bids for submission on a national level, managed high value contracts, successfully negotiated challenging commissioning issues involving multiple stakeholders and led a high level work programme providing assurance and working closely with NHSE.
