I am then responsible for bringing on placements for each learner within the sector of work they show interest with prospects of positive progression into an apprenticeship, full/part time work or a full time college course. Traineeships from learndirect give 16-24 year olds the opportunity to develop the skills and workplace experience that employers like you want, and put them in a better position to compete for an Apprenticeship or job. Following a 4 week intensive employability course facilitated by learndirect, Trainees attend a work placement for 3 days per week and attend Functional Skills training at learndirect for one day per week. There's no employer contribution required - this is free to your business! Trainees will have access to government funding to help support their needs whilst on their placement with you. Engaging with employers all over the Greater Manchester area across all sectors to find vacancies for candidates referred to the work program via Job Centre Plus and DWP.•Identifying suitable candidates, organising additional training when required introducing relevant and beneficial qualifications to candidates such as BTEC, GNVQ courses and apprenticeships.•Conducting screenings, short listing and helping with interview techniques.•Introducing employers to candidates at interview stages, giving both employer and candidate feedback in order to help ensure a positive outcome for all concerned.·Provide information ,advice & guidance to individuals on the Government Work Programme·Caseload and diary management of JSA & ESA clients·Maintain customer related files and ensure they adhere to strict DWP/G4S standards·Liaise with the Employer Engagement team to verify vacancies and sub candidates to jobs·Ring employers to source vacancies, actively deal with all employer accounts·Refer customers to relevant courses and 3rd parties·Assist customers in job searching and help them apply for existing vacancies, including ringing employers to “spec” customers in·Meeting monthly & quarterly targets ·Updating G4S systems and spread sheets·Establish and maintain effective working relationships with customers & employers face to face email and over the telephone including cold calling.·Liaise with various JCP offices
