As a Research Officer within the Industry Guidance Unit at the Victorian Environmental Protection Authority (EPA), my core responsibility was to conduct a comprehensive literature review exploring the state of knowledge across various environmental issue areas identified in EPA's horizon scan. This involved in-depth research, analysis, and synthesis of relevant scientific literature to provide a robust foundation for the development of industry guidance materials.Beyond my primary role, I proactively took on additional responsibilities to drive process improvements and enhance organizational efficiency. Project Aurelius: Developed a new structure for a prediction market, drawing from metaculus and zeitgeist systems.Project Roadhouse: Tested three models of how to use quantum computing to encrypt communications.Developed 12 reference documents for existing software projects, including tutorials, how-to guides, technical references and explanations.
