This marketing strategy increased email open rates by 9% and product trials also increased by 5% versus the previous year.Customer FocusI managed customer research to help shape how campaigns are developed, targeted and delivered. The new campaigns have achieved great results with a new product launch email achieving a 60% open rate. This research has also now been rolled out across other teams and countries.Digital Campaign MeasurementI have taken a proactive approach to measuring campaigns with tools such as Google Analytics to assess successes and key learnings. This has helped me use new marketing techniques to increase campaign effectiveness, such as behaviour-based triggered emails, dynamic content and personalisation. These innovative and creative campaigns have all contributed to the 9% increase in open up rates and 5% increase in new customer product trials. -

Working closely with the Digital Brand Manager, I used the CMS to enhance existing content on the website for SEO purposes as well as developing new areas and applications. The website received on average 70,000 visitors a month and has received an industry award for its service to tourists. Communications Campaign ManagementI worked on a large multi-media campaign to promote the North East as a visitor destination. This campaign included; online, national press, radio and search advertising and generated over 15,000 direct responses and increased visitors to the website by 50%.PR and Content CreationIn this role I worked closely with the PR team and the region’s tourist attractions to produce a number of pieces of content that resulted in articles, blogs and social media engagement with marketing campaigns. Examples of this range from “Top 5s” to themed itineraries.Email MarketingI managed the targeted seasonal e-newsletter which was delivered to a database of over 60,000 emails. On average the targeted emails achieve a very high open rate of over 30% and a 10% click rate. (Travel industry averages are 19% and 4% respectively).Social Media Strategy ManagementI produced and managed the implementation of the first social media strategy incorporating twitter, Facebook and Flickr, with blogs and YouTube to be incorporated at a later stage. In the initial 4 weeks this strategy increased followers by 100% and saw messages distributed to thousands using compelling and key-word rich content. -
