Part of the senior operations management team for Ocado's immediacy proposition: Ocado Zoom - The "Start-Up within Ocado" operating from Ocado's newest fulfilment centre. The first dedicated quick commerce grocery fulfilment centre in the UK. I managed various streams through the project set-up phase, site testing and go-live. I managed the operation through its ramp up to full capacity, which we hit one year ahead of plan due to the incredible pressure to fulfil additional customer orders arising from the Covid-19 Pandemic. I led a team of several managers and a team of over 100 staff.During the site set-up, some of my responsibilities included:• Designing operational processes from scratch, and refining them in the build up and throughout go-live• Site Health and Safety & Food Safety Readiness• Stakeholder in IT portfolio requirements• Intensive systems testing in production environment• Training the wider management team in Ocado systems• Recruitment, Induction & Training of the team• Stakeholder in site construction projects• General operational site readiness.
Operational Excellence Implementation Manager
Responsible for the end-to-end implementation of lean continuous improvement projects within fulfilment operations, predominantly in Ocado's original highly automated CFC based in Hertfordshire, but also across the fulfilment network.
