Identifying the need for the provision of information services to small and mid-sized business, I started a company specializing in installing and maintaining computer networks. In late 1994, started design work for a software application catering to the oil and gas industry, in the area of subsea inspection. In 1995 the project won a Western Australian Innovation Support Scheme grant and Federal Government funding for innovation towards commercialization of $300,000. Inspection Manager, was launched in 1997, and by 1999 was in use internationally for offshore asset and subsea inspection monitoring and reporting.In 1998 launched WebSpy, an application for the monitoring and reporting of a company's internal usage of internet resources; sold to a publicly listed company.
