Jack studied molecular bioengineering at Imperial College London as a President's Scholar before transferring to The Australian National University to complete his Honours research on protein evolution and engineering with Professor Colin Jackson within the ARC Centre of Excellence in Synthetic Biology. Jack is a 2024 Ramsay Centre PhD Scholar at the University of Oxford where he is studying for a DPhil in Engineering Biology supported by a BBSRC and EPSRC doctoral training scholarship. Jack has worked for the last 2 years in Environmental Policy for the Australian Government, focussing first on consumer energy resources and then environmental and water policy.Whilst at the ANU Jack was president of the Biology Students Society and founded the ANU iGEM team.
