I have worked across a whole stack: using Laravel to create efficient, secure applications and Vue.js with Tailwind CSS to create user friendly and attractive frontend experience. Furthermore, I have worked carefully to adhere to best practices, such as: version control; refactoring code; testing; the KISS principle and maintaining development and production environments.My time has been split between the design and development of a greenfield project and then also the acquisition of an existing application. The greenfield project is an application to be used by music departments across the group. The application, using AI, automates the handling of programme cue sheets and provides insight into song usage across the group; allowing music departments to drill down into where Banijay could be doing better to monetise their own music. The acquisition of the existing application began with a migration from on-prem to cloud hosting. From here we have made continuous improvements, including: a significant reduction in load times (from ~20 seconds to ~1 second) ; a new login system which provides MFA through work email; a permissions system; UI improvements. I have used AWS to create DevOps environments; host scalable and reliable applications and AWS Lambda to incorporate microservices into our applications - making use of other services such as AWS Textract. I have also worked with Docker to create environments in which to run our applications locally.A significant part of this job has been the opportunity to be involved in the whole process from taking an idea right through to producing an application hosted in AWS. To see that whole journey from beginning to end has been hugely valuable and has given me experience working directly with clients - planning how to turn their needs into the best application possible.

An intensive bootcamp where I developed a solid base as a Full Stack Software Developer. This involved periods of traditional teacher-student learning and daily homework assignments in preparation for producing four projects. I mainly focused on the functionality of the “salad maker” page.Project 3 - SeededReact, Sass, Bootstrap, Express.js, MongoDB, MongooseAs a group of three, we created a site to share and view information about all different kinds of plants! I largely worked on creating and structuring our API and models in order to effectively integrate the backend with our React app. Also, the index page, glossary page and relationships between models. Project 4 - What On EarthReact, Sass, Python, PostgreSQL, TablePlus, MapboxFor my final project I wanted to learn about Mapbox and experiment with what you can do with it. I created an interactive map which is used to explore and learn about all kinds of animals from around the world. I think it has the potential to be a really useful and fun app to use, especially for kids! I am planning to add more features to the map to make it more interactive and fun to use.

Spring Community Hub (SCH) is an amazing charity which provides social care to the people of Southwark. - Originally volunteered during first lockdown before being employed full-time- Responsible for running food bank sessions- Managing teams of volunteers to ensure an efficient and caring service for each of the many people in need.- Managing the warehouse (keeping stocks high; sourcing food; receiving and sorting large deliveries; etc).This role required: meticulous planning to keep the large amount of stock organised and accessible in a warehouse which was not the biggest; good social and teamwork skills for creating a friendly but efficient working atmosphere for the volunteers; creativity in order to think of different ways to encourage food donations and fundraising; determination to work hard and produce results under time pressure; adaptability in order to think quickly and change plans to accommodate for the unpredictability of a working day, such as: twice the amount of expected volunteers showing up or a large delivery arriving at a busy period.
