UCX enables exchange participants to engage in the price discovery; trade execution and physical delivery of cloud compute resources and various other parts of a datacenter. Developed, monitored and reviewed creation of rulebooks, membership, sales and marketing, responsibilities included: Negotiated signed agreements with CME Group to support, and assist the creation and development of UCX; Negotiated and licensed a complete ‘Trading Platform/Matching engine’ from CME Group; Negotiated CME Group license from UCX for the ability to create, list, trade, settle and clear Derivative Products created from underlying UCX cash markets

Member of the Board of Directors of the CME (Chicago Mercantile Exchange) from 1996-2002. Assisted with the demutualization of the exchange and helped prepare for the pending IPO. Served as Chairman of the Equity Indices Committee and was an integral part of the CME’s Executive Committee and the CME’s Strategic Planning Committee. Was one of the driving forces behind the successful introduction of the revolutionary eMini concept to the marketplace. As Chairman of Equity Index Committee new product creation included; Russell 2000 futures and options, S&P 400 Midcap futures and Options, and the entire eMini complex. Served as chairman or co-chairman of over a dozen exchange product and regulatory committees including Chairman of the Security committee during the 9/11 crisis in 2001. Coordinated efforts between Federal, municipal and CME security for homeland security concerns. Active member of CME Group’s Political Action Committee including hosting congressional receptions annually in Washington DC along with weekly tours for congressional representatives visiting the exchange floor from DC.
