This past summer I interned in the Amazon distribution center located in Obetz, OH. This experience helped me develop both my professional and leadership skills that are needed in the current workforce. On the daily I was helping lead teams of 30-40 people instructing them on their daily tasks as well as addressing any issues that came about in their day to day. This taught me how to work with people from many different walks of life and taught me a lot of valuable communication skills on how to interact with whomever. During this experience I was also able to co-lead a Kaizen event within the warehouse where we had full creativity liberty to optimize the function of the warehouse in a more efficient manner. This was a very impactful learning experience as we took ideas from all levels of employees within the operation and used this information along within our own research to create a new normal. This helped me develop a lot of professional work skills working along some of the upper management as well as the lower level associates to achieve a common goal.

I worked at target as both a barista and occasionally as a cashier. I worked during the summers and on my holiday breaks for around 25-30 hours a week.
