Created an inventory system for all observer gear and properly maintained gear at the AIS office.

Work aboard commercial fishing vessels collecting and recording data and biological samples for NMFS. Vessels range from 40’ to 100’, with trips lasting anywhere between 1 to 14 days. Work takes place out on deck collecting data on catch and discards and incidental takes such as marine mammals, seabirds, and marine turtles. Trip locations have ranged from Maine to North Carolina, with a majority of them out of Gloucester Harbor, MA. Maintains excellent relationships with captains and crew, and is always welcomed back on a vessel. Certified in training new observers by deploying with them on their first trip.
