This new methodology required me to write software to work with massive datasets, and to become an expert in a variety of analytics techniques including image analysis, network analysis, database programming, and machine learning.

As a certified Software Carpentry trainer, I organised and ran multiple workshops each year teaching scientists how to program.

My research documented the genetic and morphological diversity of a parasitic mite representing a significant threat to the honeybee industry. I also developed a workflow for analysing data from the Human Microbiome Project and developed an interactive visualisation program.

Undertook an upgrade of a university's journalism website, converting their video player from Flash to HTML5 and transferred the website across to a new server. I also converted university course content into HTML/CSS mark-up.Developed JavaScript web applications including interactive store location maps and water pump measurement conversion tools.
