As Legal Counsel & Corporate Secretary, I work closely with our Global General Counsel to support all aspects of Octo’s operations in the Americas. I regularly provide legal consultation and advice to C-Suite executives and department managers on a variety of matters. I manage the contracting activities for all agreements regarding the company’s operations in the Americas including SaaS, data analytics, telematics services and data access agreements. I established Octo’s global intellectual property policy and process and manage the global IP portfolio. This includes establishing the global strategy for and the preparation of and filing of new patent and trademark applications. I provide direct legal guidance to all levels of the company on contractual, IP, data privacy and protection and labor and employment matters. I manage the corporate records for Octo’s U.S. subsidiaries including ensuring corporate compliance in all applicable jurisdictions.

In my role as Senior Corporate Counsel for Revlon’s professional products division, I managed a variety of contracts and contractual and product liability claims and litigation. I provided legal research and advised various departments on laws and regulations impacting the division’s products and services. I supported Revlon’s Deputy General Counsel in preparing corporate minutes and resolutions for the professional division’s U.S. subsidiaries.

As Senior Corporate Counsel, I was responsible for the day-to-day operation of the U.S. legal department reporting to the global General Counsel. I provided legal guidance to Colomer’s Marketing, Sales, R&D and HR departments on matters impacting their respective functions. I drafted, negotiated and managed to completion all domestic and international commercial transactions and supported the General Counsel on mergers & acquisitions matters. I managed all claims and litigation matters for the U.S. company and its subsidiaries including product liability, patent infringement and copyright infringement litigation. I oversaw Colomer’s U.S. IP portfolio, including filings and maintaining patent and trademark registrations.

In my role as Corporate Counsel, I managed a variety of issues and projects and provided guidance on a number of key areas for the company. Specifically, I managed all contractual matters and claims and litigation matters. I worked closely with the Marketing and R&D departments on product development including researching and advising on statutes and regulations impacting the creation of products and respective packaging. I advised and worked closely with HR on a variety of employment matters, Further, as Corporate Secretary, I managed all corporate records for Colomer multiple U.S. subsidiaries.

In my capacity as Associate Corporate Counsel, I handled a variety of legal functions. Specifically, I drafted, negotiated and managed to completion a variety of commercial contracts including distribution agreements, real estate leases and NDAs. I provided legal consultation and advice to executive management on a variety of matters. I also managed the company’s product liability claims and litigation.

In my role of Lead Criminal/Capital Judicial Staff Attorney, I managed the case load assignment for the team of staff attorneys assigned to Court’s criminal division. I support trial judges by researching and advising on issues arising during the trial process. Further, I attended all capital trials and provided real time support to the Court and drafted sentencing orders and orders on post-conviction motions.

As Judicial Staff Attorney, I conducted legal research, prepared legal memorandum and orders and support trial judges at both the trial phase and post-conviction phase.
