As a senior designer my responsibilities involved running project teams within the studio on key client accounts. This included collaborating with internal and external design teams, driving project development and client interfacing. My work comprised project planning, insight workshops, strategic development, design development, design for manufacture, brand strategy and CMF (Colour, Material & Finish).

As a designer I supported project leads with model making, research and development, concept sketching, design development, rendering and technical drawing.

I established Create Innovate Design Ltd as a multidisciplinary design company to primarily continue my exploration of the Pedalock™ project, an integrated bicycle pedal and lock that if broken by thieves disabled the bicycle from being peddled away. Andy Knight Ltd are a specialist group of craftsmen, artists and set builders who collaborate on one-off construction projects, mostly for advertising. The skills that go into their projects range from specialist carpentry, metal fabrication, traditional scenic painting up to and including more modern digital methods. Working alongside art directors I was involved on a range of projects for clients including Vogue, Vogue Italia, Tim Walker, Hermes, Sony, Tesco and Victoria’s Secret.

Metro models is the modelmaking side of AK:L, creating high quality photographic models, combining traditional model making craftsmanship with contemporary digital techniques. I worked as an assistant to the lead model maker on projects for Bacardi and Vogue.

Chris Lehrecke is an independent, award winning furniture studio in New York. Lehrecke designs, nurtures, seasons and manufactures all of his work at his studio in upstate NY. The philosophy is very simple "Use beautiful wood, sand to very fine grits and apply two to four coats of wiping varnish to the pieces." I spent a summer working at his studio on custom projects.
