As a clinical social worker in the community program

As co-founder, I serve as the Director of Mental Health, supervising the mental health professionals for a small integrated practice clinic.I also develop programs for various mental health and social services, do quality assurance of therapeutic services, and develop contracts for various governmental agencies.In the direct service role I perform as a clinical social worker conducting psycho-social assessments, conducting group and individual psychotherapy, facilitating support groups, conducting family and couples counseling as well as various psycho-educational groups. Most recently I have designed and implemented a substance use disorder outpatient treatment program for Bridge House Clean and Sober program. I served as primary counselor conducting assessments, treatment planning, group therapy, individual therapy, case management, discharge and referral services.

Substance abuse counselors perform assessments conduct group and individual counseling, utilizing a wide variety of interventions and approaches.

As a drug court social worker in charge of the case management and the compliance of Drug Court clients.

Respite foster parent provider specializing in children with special needs, to include medical and behavioral problems. This is a therapeutic model for foster care which operates in association with Appalachian State University.
