Began tenure in Anaheim working on a major Disney expansion project (California Adventure) and was reassigned to turnaround a 125-acre entertainment campus project in Glendale (Grand Central Creative Campus).CALIFORNIA ADVENTURE:Provided leadership to a team of 40+ engineers on Southern California’s highest profile project creating a theme park expansion from scratch.• Met weekly with a highly driven team of high-level Disney executives and renowned consultants providing subject matter expertise to bring Michael Eisner’s vision to life• Led weekly meetings with stakeholders at the City of Anaheim and worked closely with the County of Orange, Caltrans and OCTA to align regulatory requirements with each aspect of technical project components• Delivered engineering solutions for the entire outside of the park including major street widening, beautification and public infrastructure, and interior grading, drainage, paving and walkways.GRAND CENTRAL CREATIVE CAMPUS:Selected by President of Boyle Engineering to replace current leadership and turnaround a second Disney project. Instrumental leader in laying the groundwork to help Disney in the decision-making process to advance the project. • Salvaged critical corporate relationship with Disney by assuming project leadership, meeting with disgruntled client, selling a new vision of success, analyzing failed milestones, and replanning and reprioritizing critical path• Managed team of 20+ civil engineers in reimagining and reconceptualizing every aspect of the project• Analyzed and estimated complex costs relating to land development components and public infrastructure including bridges, freeway interchanges and increasing utility capacity• Presented to Disney executives and corporate attorneys outlining comprehensive scope of project including concept, design, estimated costs, land assembly and development, public infrastructure and regulatory alignment
