In this workplace I am employed in the blade and composite structures division, mainly specializing in composite and metal main and tail rotor blade overhaul to very high finish. Also involved is very accurate balancing of the completed blade to suit customer requirements.

I started work here in the parts detail department manufacturing parts for XL750 aircraft as well as some CT4 parts. I stayed in this department for 9 months before being transferred to Final Assembly which involves fitting all the systems, powerplants and components to the aircraft.

This is where I completed my 8 weeks of work based training as part of my CAME qualification. Here I carried out daily checks of the aircraft as well as various larger checks. Other work included various component changes and bay work to rebuild various hydraulic components.
