As an equities analyst for WVU’s Student Managed Investment Fund, myself and 15 other students are tasked with becoming an expert on a sector of the market and researching potential new equities in that sector, as well as familiarizing ourselves with our current holdings. I have been assigned the financials sector, indicating I deal primarily with banks, insurance companies, real estate investment trusts, and more. I conduct my research in the Roll Capital Markets Center on the provided Bloomberg terminals, and seek information about how the market is moving, and what it is doing to the financials sector. My work, and end goal, is to work with my sector team to out perform our benchmark, and as an entire portfolio, outperform the S&P 500.

As a food server, I acted as the face of the restaurant, ensuring that each customer's needs were met. This involves, taking their order and delivering the food in a timely manner, stopping by and asking if they need anything else, and working with other servers to ensure the best experience possible for them. Acting as the face of the restaurant requires I meet this criteria for more than one table at a time, which could be tending to up to six or even seven tables at once.
