From mental health to consulting, I have an academic and professional background that has exposed me to a variety of experiences and developed my skills and abilities, more so than employment history that is linear and has a narrow focus. I was a manager and lead for a team of counsellors in delivering the most effective short-term mental health support when working for the integral EAP services which organisations now embed in their foundations. Whilst delivering this service, I became well versed in managing SLA's and KPI's, ensuring individual and team performance exceeded our contractual obligations to give our service the best reputation possible. Whilst I have now moved into consulting, I still utilise my background by championing employee wellbeing through the delivery of educational and practical content to my colleagues and seniors and being a point of contact for support. My internal contributions are a passion that I undertake alongside my client work, helping to implement change, achieve objectives and realise benefits. Alongside my work, I managed to achieve a First-Class Honours in the BA in Counselling from Lancaster University, to recently receiving Distinction in the MSc in Management, also from Lancaster University. My determination and commitment to two entirely different courses and the grades I achieved reflects my desire to learn, develop and, deliver on the expectations set out for me to the best possible quality.Now, as a junior consultant for AtkinsRéalis (formerly Atkins), I have clear objectives to immerse myself in an entirely new industry, experience roles across the practices and markets I work in, and continually develop and improve as a consultant supporting clients on their journey of change.
