I teach two courses-one in Marketing and the other in Sales within the Derby Entrepreneurship Center@Tufts, where I was Director of the Center before stepping down to return to my true love, which is working with our incredible students. I was humbled by being awarded the Henry and Madeline Fischer Award of Teacher of the Year by the School of Engineering.Both of these courses are highly interactive in which students work in teams of 4-6 and are placed in operating companies to work on semester-long marketing or sales projects which constitutes 50% of their grade.

At the Derby Entrepreneurship Center, we impact the careers of our students by incubating real-life entrepreneurial mindsets. While Director, we increased Entrepreneurship graduates by 35%, increased events from 4 to 30, rebranded from a sub-department to a Center, rebalanced the advisory board, increased professors to 17 teaching 31 courses while acheiving standout student ratings as the largest minor on campus.

As an outside Director, I participated in Hybricon's growth and led the deal team to successfully sell the company to Curtis Wright.Curtiss-Wright Corporation (NYSE:CW) today announced today that it has signed a definitive purchase agreement to acquire Hybricon Corporation ("Hybricon"). Hybricon is a leading supplier of high performance electronic packaging for the aerospace, defense and commercial markets, and provides electronic subsystem integration expertise which generates more efficient product development and reduced design and manufacturing risk for its customers. The transaction closed June 1, 2010.

In 2019, Jack was awarded the first-ever Lifetime Achievement Award which recognized a long-time member and leader of the ACG Boston community who made outstanding contributions to the growth and visibility of the chapter throughout his career. The Association for Corporate Growth is the country's largest business association for M&A and Investment Banking professionals. Jack was the Chairman of the Boston Chapter for 10 plus year and was also a Director of the International Board for 2007-2009.

The MIT Enterprise Forum of Cambridge is a volunteer, non-profit based at MIT. It is the largest of the 23 chapters of the MIT Enterprise Forum. The Forum's mission is to promote and strengthen the process of starting and growing innovative and technology-oriented companies by providing services and programs that educate, inform, and support the entrepreneurial community. I was initially a volunteer member of the 10/250 Committee, then 10/250 Chair, then Event Chair, then board member, and then Chairman of the Forum
