Focus on Franklin is a student-run diversion fund helping to alleviate homelessness in Chapel Hill through active fundraising and community engagement.The organization started as an entrepreneurship project in the Fall of 2017. Following the class, my classmates and I spoke with several shelters and organizations in order to further understand the best way to make an impact on the Chapel Hill community. In 2018 we launched Focus On Franklin with the goal to raise funds to generate diversion funding which could be used by the various shelters to help cover expenses for those in risk of losing their homes. In our first year of operation, we recruiting a team of 20 undergraduate fundraisers and helped raise Chapel Hill's diversion rate above the national average.As a Co-Founder, I worked with my classmates to research Chapel Hill's needs and respond by setting up the non-profit organization. In my role as Financial Coordinator, I oversaw the fund ensuring we had ample funds to satisfy requests coming in from the community. I also recruited and managed our fundraising team of 20 undergraduates, helping plan fundraisers and secure donations.

Greystar is the largest owner, operator, and developer of multifamily housing in the world. The Rotational Intern program provides interns with experience in their various business lines: Acquisitions, Portfolio Management, and Development. In my time at Greystar, I helped pull reports for underwriting, input data on annual portfolio check-ups, and walk construction sites to check on development progress, among other tasks. My internship culminated with a project where I took a multifamily deal in Houston from the offering memorandum to a full underwriting and executive presentation.

Redbud Student Rentals is a rental company in Chapel Hill, North Carolina with a focus on student rentals.As a Leasing Liaison, my main focus was placing students in the perfect situation while making leasing easy through prompt, pristine service and attention. I did so by securing leases for each of Redbud's 14 properties helping generate an excess of $45,000 in gross rental revenue.

Ziff Properties is a small owner, operator, and developer, with a focus on multi-tenant opportunities in the southeastern United States. As an intern, I focused on their self-storage portfolio assisting in business development and self-storage development. I helped create various spreadsheets to track development performance relative to pro-forma predictions and historical occupancy figures relative to changes in market supply. In addition, I worked to create case studies for developments across the country and worked with existing assets to improve targeted marketing efforts.

Dallas/Fort Worth Area

A-Team is a group of college-aged males hired as independent contractors to perform tasks aiding the set-up, operation and break down of Colonial's annual PGA Tour Event. Tasks include event set-up, facility design, hospitality coordination, landscaping operations, course maintenance and patron safety. A-Team members work over 200 hours in a 3 week span in May each year.
