Short term placement in HQ British Forces Cyprus, responsible for:• Logistical and operational planning for the movement of a Battalion of 1000 soldiers and their families from Chester, UK to Episkopi, Cyprus.• Operating in a joint force headquarters to plan and deliver a variety of projects across the Republic of Cyprus, including prevention of illegal bird trapping within the sovereign base areas and the securing of the border between Southern and Northern Cyprus.Notable Achievements:• The generation and preparation of 120 soldiers to deploy with 1 months’ notice on Operation TORAL in Afghanistan. This included the management of simultaneously re-basing all soldiers to Cyprus whilst meeting pre-deployment requirements, including training in a variety of bespoke military vehicles and completing a demanding mission rehearsal exercise.

Responsible for:• Planning and delivery of current and future training.• Producing policy for the care of £750'000 of equipment.• Preparation and deployment of all C Company soldiers on exercises and operations.• When required stand in for Company Commander.Notable achievements to date:• Preparation and deployment of C Company personnel to Iraq on Operation SHADER 5 from June - December 2017.

Both roles required large amounts of planning, administration and the accounting of large quantities of money and equipment• Deployment on a multi-national NATO exercise in Lithuania, working under an American Headquarters.

6 month operational deployment as part of the US led Coalition to provide training to the Iraqi Security forces in order to enable them in their fight against Daesh.Responsible for:• Planning and co-ordination of Counter-IED and Explosive Breaching training within a Spanish run, multi-national Build Partner Capacity Base.• Producing significant pieces of staff work including reports, permissions and learning accounts.• Lead for the co-ordination of in camp security and force protection for the UK Contingent, and liaison with Spanish, Portuguese, American and Canadian counterparts.• Equipment care manager for the sub-unit.• Led with the complex R&R and Relief in Place plans for all UK Training Team (Besmaya) personnel.• When required commanded the Training Team for significant periods.
