Current placement at Royal Mail.Mainly managing teams within specialised functions (I.e. Machine operation) - Leading circa 20+ Staff with a Shift Level budget of approx £1.5 million. - Ensuring QoS is maintained in line with current standards (I.e. 1st / 2nd Class % targets)- Resourcing to workload ethos whilst maximising staff effiency through absorbtion and continuous improvement practices.- Delivered repeatedly on Tyneside’s IMP Efficiency Targets, collaboratively taking the Early/Weekend shift from bottom in the Plant to top. Regularly attaining ‘Top 3’ In the country for Mail Throughputs (Out of 38 Sites), whilst also achieving ‘Plant of the Week’ on numerous occasions for other automation utilisation targets including OEE.- Ensuring a high degree of safety within the workplace, investigating AOD's whilst communicating these to the staff to ensure we learn from our mistakes. Setup a shift safety forum where colleagues could discuss safety concerns in an open environment.- Involved in National Kaizen programmes, working with businesses along Royal Mail's full supply chain in order to stamp out cost.

Initial placement at Royal Mail.Managed a headcount of 35 front line employees across 2 locations. (Approx. 500k Annual Budget).- Resourcing to workload ethos whilst maximising staff efficiency through absorption. - A major focus on coaching in the workforce to maintain high standards of working, this was executed through the use of the 3C process which was used for all customer complaints and actions of non-compliance - I.e. Failed Scans, SD Failures and AOD's.- High degree of safety awareness through the use of SMAT's, whilst also liaising with the units safety rep to deliver key messages to the workforce during the likes of 'Dog Safety Week'.- Focused on continuous improvement through engaging the workforce on initiatives rolled out by the business.- Lead on a project to drive down customer complaints on a key business area (Re-deliveries).- Successfully maintained budget within set guidelines, whilst also delivering on the units yearly cost reduction.- Actively engaged with the CWU Union to ensure positive relations amongst the workforce.- Improving general business standards through the roll out of 'One Plan'.
