Contract Manager on the Harborough Contract, Leicestershire (Harborough Leisure Centre & Lutterworth Sports Centre).

• Commercial leadership, management and responsibility for our Places Gym concept. • Direct line management of the sites General Managers.• Influencing role in the development of the Places Gym brand. • Current management of Clubs in Corby, Preston and Sheffield. Developments taking place in Edinburgh and other U.K. Destinations. Opening planned for late 2017, early 2018.

• UK active Flame Winner for Leisure Centre of the Year Outstanding Achievement Award in 2017. Finalist in 2016. • Quest Excellent site in 2016, becoming a Quest Ambassador. • Commercial responsibility for the site, reporting into the Contract and Area Manager.• Operational leadership of each site to ensure adherence to the groups Quality Management Systems and Policies.• Achieved significant growth year on year at all sites in both income generation but also streamlining operational costs.• Groups top 5 site for Net Promoter Score across my time in position – showing exceptional leadership of driving a great customer experience.• Managed the operational launch of numerous funded projects in partnership with stakeholders, clients and sport’s National Governing Bodies. Such projects included This Girl Can Swim, The Hairy Bikers Diet Club, Shape Up Weight Management Programme and many Sportivate programmes.• Lead on site with numerous refurbishments including Gym refurbishment and also poolside upgrades to timing system, poolside stadium seating.• PFI Facility, in partnership with Rotherham Metropolitan Borough Council and other stakeholders including facility management company EMCOR, Sport England, NHS and the local Authority. Successfully always manged this partnership and process.• Direct or overseeing management of 90 employees.

During my role as a Fitness Manager, I overviewed the retention policy, group exercise programme, personal trainer targets and general running of the fitness provided across the site and town as a whole. During my time we re opened the facility after a two year closure. We set off with a record breaking pre sale, and achieved budget in all areas relating to the fitness sector.

While also appointed as a Fitness Manager, I worked at the site as a Health and safety coordinator. This was to ensure we was following and achieving company QMS standards. I also liased with thrid parties to ensure best practice was always followed for the well-fare of the staff and customers of the centre.

Multiple role while in full time education, learning the industry while studying the academia behind our sector at Loughborough University.

Through my academic studies at Loughborough University and afterwards while in full time employment; I was in post as one of a team of EPDG Strenght & Conditioning Coach. My role was to run weekly / twice weekly conditioning sessions. Both field based and gym based programmes with our junior teams from U14s-U16s. During my role I was appointed as the lead coach for the NLD region and overviewed 2 Interns and also spent a 5 month period with the senior Academy through a pre season and start of the season process.
