As Print My Part continues to enjoy rapid growth, the vast majority of my time is now devoted to Product Design work. My unique skill set and in-depth understanding of mass production processes coupled with in-house prototyping facilities offers clients a comprehensive product development process and a clear route from concept to production . By taking on a limited number of clients at any one time we can ensure we can fully immerse myself in your project, considering every aspect of the design whilst remaining personable and communicating in simple terms. This approach results in a fast paced product development process so projects are delivered on time and on budget. ​We are highly proficient in CAD packages such as Solidworks and we have substantial knowledge of designing parts for mass production, in particular Injection Moulding. Furthermore, through my industrial experience we have gained valuable contacts with factories in the UK and Far-East. We can therefore establish and manage Far-East mass production opportunities. We also have experience bringing products to market through tradition B2B and B2C routes as well as through crowdfunding campaigns such as Kickstarter™. This unique skill set enables us to design products which are much more than 'just a visual'. We are able to design fully functional products with commercial viability and real world application in mind.

Managing and overseeing multiple projects from initial ideation through to mass production for Satellite, UHF and VHF mobile viewing solutions.Identifying consumer demands and turning opportunities within the leisure industry into innovative products that offer a functional and intuitive solution. Liasing with Far East partners to source and manufacture components using a variety of high volume manufacture techniques; in particular injection moulding.Visiting partners in mainland China to discuss both new and ongoing projects. Strengthened links with existing 3rd party factories, created opportunities and established ties with new factories.Visiting sourcing fairs in Hong Kong to establish partnerships and suppliers for exciting new product ranges.

A member of the RDD team, contributing to the output of high quality, high performance and function orientated consumer product.Involves a broad range of skills from rig creation and testing through to model making and CAD work.Transferable CAD skills have resulted in competence in the use of Siemens NX 8.5.External training has also resulted in the successful completion of a Mill and Lathe course, complementing my practical skill set.

Completed a 13 month industrial placement at Maxview Ltd. working as a key member of the design team. Developed a manual dish system (the Precision Tripod Kit) to locate satellite TV within the leisure market. Completed idea generation through to mass production and introduction to market, involving all aspects of the design process from sketching and prototyping through to testing protocol and tooling design. Completed all CAD work for the working assembly and final production drawings for 19 separate injection moulded parts, before overseeing the tooling design and off-shore mass production.

Founded and managed an online business selling motorcycle parts. Involved all aspects of a functional business from sourcing and stock control through to finance management and customer service. Achieved generous profits whilst studying A-Levels full time.
